VIGNETTES FOR THE APOCALYPSE V

June 9 – July 3 at The Kraine Theater

EndTimes Productions will present VIGNETTES FOR THE APOCALYPSE V, the 5th annual edition of New York’s oldest and largest Sci-fi/Horror themed theater festival, beginning June 9 at The Kraine Theater. This year, the Festival will offer 34 plays, a concert and a movie,  presented in 9 evening-length programs curated by Rusell Dobular. The Festival will premiere new works by Derek Ahonen (The Amoralists’ Pied Pipers of the Lower East Side), Mac Rogers (Best Play winner for Viral at FringeNYC),  Crystal Skillman (NYIT Award for Best Play for The Vigil), Jerrod Bogard (Spin Cycle for Wide Eyed Productions), Mark Borkowski (The Perfect Witness, Cost of A Soul), among others.

Downtown Theater by Toby Scales. Two workers stumble into something terrible while excavating an old theatre in New York. The play takes place entirely by the light of the workers’ headlamps. Directed by Daniel Solon.

Wardrobe of the Living Dead by Maximilian Clark. Trapped in a closet, hordes of the undead are scraping at the door. Please, God, if there’s anyone out there, do you know when the new season of House starts? Directed by Jenna Dempesy.

The You Knows Know by Derek Ahonen. In a population controlled future where the “You Knows” have abused their political power, a young married couple hide from authority to protect their unborn child from a very different America. Directed by Kristin Skye Hoffmann.

Dating Sucks by Mike Poblete. A cautionary tale about a man who gets more than he bargains for from a craigslist casual encounter. Directed by Justin Ness.

The Madhouse by Jerrod Bogard. A classic-style Guignol in which a publisher sends a horror novelist with writer’s block to an insane asylum for inspiration. Directed by Leal Vona.

Entranced by Ron Burch. A Zombie tries to find love. Directed by Hezues R.

Void by Paul Moulton. It’s July 20, 1969.  Neil Armstrong will take one small step for man, and Captain Lance Liftoff, Queen Selene and the Giggler will take one giant step into… oblivion! Directed by Lawrence Lesher.

Hitchhikers May Be Escaping Convicts by Susie Kahlich. On roadtrip back from failed careers and a failing relationship, a young couple pick up a hitchhiker on a deserted road in Oklahoma who challenges their dreams, desires and grammar skills and changes their lives forever. Directed by Robert Gonyo.

Spoken For by S.L. Daniels. In the future, the wealthy are so rich that they can afford to hire people to speak for them. Directed by Matthew Kreiner.

X-Boyfriend by Steve Strangio. A Super Villain Serial Killer ex-boyfriend of his current girlfriend wasn’t in the plan for Johnny as he tries to survive one wild night of chaos, murder, and mayhem!!! Directed by Michael Denis.

The Texas Textbook Massacre by Micah McCoy. When the Texas Board of Education meets to revise the public school curriculum, the chairman leads the conservative majority on a darkly absurd blitzkrieg against reason, logic, and posterity. The school board’s lone liberal voice attempts to reign in their crusade, but finds her pleas for sanity fall on deaf ears–until a reanimated figure from America’s past intervenes. Directed by Alessandro Colla.

With You, by Chris Van Strander. Sam attempts to contact his mother… beyond the grave. Directed by Tony Macy-Perez.

The Girls In Their Hitler T-Shirts by Peter Rout and Joe Muscara. Two horny college guys learn you never give up your political ideals for a hot chick. Directed by Rebecca Hengstenberg.

The Kids Are Awake by Mark Borkowski. The daughter of a serial killer meets with the son of one of his victims. Her compassion and his vengeance clash against the backdrop of his mother’s grizzly murder. Directed by Russell Dobular.

The Wolf Manhood by David L. Williams. Lon and Evelyn have been dating for a month, and Lon still won’t go all the way.  Now, under a full moon, comes a shocking explanation. Directed by Melinda Prom.

The Black Market of Memories by Dwayne Yancey. A young woman wakes up in a strange place — and discovers she’s had her memories stolen.  Now that doctors have devised a way to transplant memories, there’s a lively market for memories — and a black market of stolen ones. Directed by Tony Macy-Perez.

Passenger by Ignacio Zulueta. A deadly plague. A desperate scientist. A dumbstruck cabbie. A musical. Directed by Leal Vona.

Night of the Living Relatives by Judy Klass. John and Sally’s marriage is under a strain, and John’s undead sister Rose seems less interested in serving them dinner than in having them for dinner herself. Directed by Sherri Barber.

Seed by Adam Tullis and Leal Vona. Three people and a partially functional Android struggle to survive aboard a doomed space station as the planet beneath them is consumed by nuclear war. Directed by Matthew Kreiner.

The Blood Brothers Present…Freaks From the Morgue. A young beat cop follows up on a routine call, only to stumble upon a scene of unspeakable depravity. A child plays with her abductor, but where does the game end and reality begin?  And a girl goes off in search of her little sister, only to discover that men really ARE pigs. In the tradition of the original Grand Guignol Theatre, this horror anthology series features new works by James Comtois (The Little One), Stephanie Cox-Williams (The Zombie Project: The Story of Icarus Phoenix), Mac Rogers (Viral), Brian Silliman (The Magic of Mrs. Crowling) and Crystal Skillman (The Vigil, or The Guided Cradle) based on stories ripped from the headlines, where even the monster under your bed is real.

If You Could, Would You by Arthur Jolly. A play about death, violence, Adolf Hitler and living in Mom’s basement.  A comedy. Directed by Brad Raimondo.

Innsmouth by Michael Jalber. an original play based on the Cthulu mythos created by H.P. Lovecraft. Scream, panic, enjoy! Directed by Robert Gonyo.

The Lunar Academy of St. Augustine by Andrew Turner. In a boarding school classroom on the moon, a prudish schoolteacher finds an interesting way to pass the time. Directed by Lawrence Lesher.

Maybe In Another Universe by Stacie A. Shellner. One drunken evening, the hottest girl in school hooks up with an awkward geek, and the phenomenon that develops from their tryst would make Stephen Hawking jealous! Directed by Melinda Prom

Zombie Girl by Paco Mad. A card-carrying member of the living dead reveals the story of how she and her family became zombies and the persecution they faced at the hands of humans. Directed by Judy Merrick.

Smart by Robert Fieldsteel. a full-length play based on the true-crime story of the Dartmouth Murders in which two teens brutally murdered a professor and wife by stabbing them 47 times. Directed by Russell Dobular.



Bill #8: 6/18 at 7:30pm

The Vignettes Horror-Rock Circus. Featuring he triumphant return of cult band, Witches In Bikinis, performing with Alien Surfer Babes and grotesque burlesque artist Missy D. Meaner. Hosted by The Blood Brothers.



Bill #9: 6/23 at 8:30 pm
An exclusive free screening of the cult film, “The Perfect Witness”, in which an aspiring filmmaker blackmails a serial killer into allowing him to document his crimes.  Star and co-writer Mark Borkowski will be attendance for Q & A.


EndTimes Productions is an independent Theater/Film Production Company founded in New York City in 2006. Its mission is to foster emerging artists and provide them with new creative outlets. EndTimes provides its artists with free rehearsal space, staff support, complete coverage of production expenses, and, for young directors, a mentoring program in which they assist more experienced directors on full productions. Past productions include Knuckleball (NYC and Edinburgh), Naked Holiday, Easy Outs, and Dead Lawyers. EndTimes’ production of The Godling won Best Ensemble, the Sold Out Award, and Best Director at the San Francisco Fringe Festival.
